I texten reder föreningen ut att det vanligtvis finns en genetisk koppling till barnet, till minst en förälder, som föds med surrogatmödraskap. Även om det inte finns en genetisk koppling till barnet kommer ett gott föräldraskap alltid vara viktigare. Fortfarande kvarstår en del hinder för föräldrar som kommer hem med sina barn efter att barnet blivit fött av en värdmamma utomlands. Regeringen presenterade i dag en rad förslag i syfte att förenkla och modernisera vägen till föräldraskap.
